Wyatt's first boat trip

Wyatt got to go on a boat for the first time today. He wasn't too sure about the life jacket.Megan and Kelcie tried their best to assure him it would be fun.

And they also kept him nice and safe on the boat too.

AND he got his first driving lesson as well today. Thanks Uncle Terry!

He did fine until we picked up the speed. He did not like the wind and bumpy ride at all.

So we handed him off to Daddy on the dock and they went into the nice warm house to watch the Seahawks game, while the rest of us enjoyed a nice sunny boat ride!

Lazy Sunday Morning

What a way to start at day. Wyatt and I laid and read for quite a while this morning. Luckily Daddy brought us a stack of books so we didn't have to keep reading the same one over and over again.

What a great helper!

Wyatt always wants to know what I am doing in the kitchen and it drives him nuts that he can't see what's going on. So today I finally put him on a chair. He absolutely loved it!He had a blast helping with dishes.
He was having so much fun he just hung out up there for quite a while. As you can notice from the last few posts, Wyatt has become quite attached to our ladle.

What's for dinner?

How about some soup?

Wyatt loves 'helping me make dinner.' The nice thing is this usually keeps him busy so I can at least get it started!

My New Ride!

Grandma Pat and Grandpa Dan came to visit for a couple days this week and brought gifts! Here's Wyatt helping Grandpa put his new trike together!
Good job, so far Grandpa, but I think this wheel needs to be a little tighter.
I love my new trike. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Wyatt was out riding his trike on the sidewalk when a few neighbors had to come check it out. Then he decided to catch a ride in Austin's cool wagon.

Fridge Decor

Wyatt brought home his first art project from daycare today! He was so excited and proud to hang it on the fridge!

Yum!

Wyatt had spaghetti tonight for the first time. After playing with it for a while, he realized that it was quite tasty to eat! He sure had fun with the long noodles.
And we had fun watching him run the noodles through his lips.

Oh, this is not only fun to play with, but yummy to eat!

Tuckered Out!

In the last two weeks, Wyatt has not only started daycare, but has also gone down to one nap a day. Collin has to wake him up each morning at 7:30, so he now goes to bed at 7:00, which seems insanely early to me, but he crashes! Don't we wish we could all get 12 hours of good sleep. After chatting with some friends, we have come to realize how lucky we are to have such a hard sleeper. We can not only go in and take pictures of him, but put laundry away or change his diaper without him waking up.
Ok, so maybe this is a face only a mother could love, but gosh I sure do love it!

Enjoying the Sunshine!

Wyatt got to enjoy the nice weather and play outside the last couple days. Gosh he loves to be outside and really practices his tantrum throwing when he has to come in.
Wyatt just looked too cute in his new muscle shirt. He was so excited to get it on after he saw it was Elmo!

He has finally mastered climbing up to his slide. I am not sure why we have encouraged this. I am sure we are in for some fun times ahead. Who knows where we will find him now that he can climb.

Wyatt loves looking over our back fence at the cars driving by. And if he's lucky he gets to see the train down the street.

Komo?

Reading Time

Wyatt's new favorite reading position is for us to "sit in his lap." He would sit like this for hours as long as we kept reading.
The best part is he loves to give kisses while he's there! Even on Daddy's scratchy face.

Jam Session

For tonight's show, we have Daddy Murph on the drums and extra cute Wyatt Dale on keyboards.

Fun at Daycare!

Wyatt had a great first week at daycare. Although he still cries during drop off, Heather and Darren assure us he isn't that grumpy all day. But Mommy sure is glad that Daddy is dropping him off and not her! The best thing is that we have learned Wyatt can eat other things for lunch besides a grilled cheese. I have been told he loves chili, hotdogs and pizza!! Thanks to Heather and Darren for expanding his menu! Here's Wyatt with his new friends Brooklyn, Tanner and Kaydence, having fun with sidewalk chalk!!
Yes, I can't put the chalk down yet, but I must ride this cool fish!

Labor Day Weekend-Part 1

We spent last Saturday with The Heaters in Burien. They live right by the water, so we took advantage of a beautiful day and took Wyatt to the beach for very first time!We started the afternoon off with a picnic at the beach.
Then it was time for some fun in the sand!

Wyatt was so funny. After we took his shoes off he wouldn't walk off the blanket. He would take a step off and then right back on.

We finally just picked him up and plopped him on the sand. He loved it!

What a fun day!!

Although the water was a bit cold, we had to dip Wyatt's toes in the ocean for the first time. :)

Wyatt loved Henry's Big Wheel!

Henry was so nice and shared all of his toys with Wyatt. They had so much fun.
You would never know that Henry is a year older than Wyatt by this picture! They sure are handsome little men. Those big blue eyes are going to drive the girls crazy some day!

YUM!

Wyatt sure is loving all the fresh fruit this summer!
