Oops-Two More Pics
Happy Birthday Little Man!
Wyatt got several Ecards today. So we sat down after his nap and viewed them all. He really enjoyed this. He kept saying 'gain, gain.'
What does Daddy do all day?
And why is he so tired when he gets home??
Here's a picture of Collin practicing his SCBA (don't ask me what that stands for, I usually call it his scuba mask!). This is what he has to get on in under a minute. He had a formal evaluation yesterday and got great marks. And some great praise from his instructors. If you want to see some more pictures of what he's been up to check out the academy's homepage. They just posted some pictures. Collin's helmet has the #18 on it and his name on the back. There's some good shots of him in the search and rescue scrapbook.

Wyatt's Party
We had such a great time celebrating Wyatt's birthday this weekend with our family and friends!
Ok, I got my dig, dig and some balloons. I am ready to party!!
Cole has his party hat on and is ready to party!
Notice how big the hat is on Little Lauren and how it barely fits Mr. Wyatt's monster head! :)
Dig, dig, book, wow!!
This is about the best picture we got of Wyatt opening presents. He wasn't too into that this year.
His new fire truck sure was a hit with all the kiddos!!
This isn't a very good picture, but I love how it shows him just tearing the paper off.
Wyatt LOVES his new bike! Now we just need to find a helmet that fits so he can ride it outside. I bought him a toddler one, but it's too small!
Wyatt couldn't have cared less about his cupcake. He just wanted to get back to his new toys!
Oh ya, did I mention we got over an inch of snow this weekend. Crazy!
What a fun day!!! We are so lucky to have such great friends and a wonderful family to celebrate with!
Jealous??
Because you know, Wyatt doesn't get much attention! :)
Many Faces of Mr. Wyatt
So we have had a blast playing with our new camera. We are still trying to figure out all the fancy features, but we have it hooked up with the computer finally so we can share some of the great shots we have been getting. These are just some of the silly shots of Wyatt over the passed two weeks. He never fails to crack us up!
If I close my eyes, you can't see me!
Ya, those pictures didn't go too well. Tantrum time! He wouldn't sit still for anything. I guess that fits for the age!
Collin calls this the Stiffler face.

Keepin Busy
Ok, so a post with no pictures, I know, pretty boring. But everyone is asking me how Collin is doing in academy, so I thought this was an easy way to touch base with everyone. And we haven't figured out how transfer pictures from our new camera yet, so it may be a few days before we can add pictures.
So anyways, Collin is doing awesome! He is so busy, it's insane. He leaves at the crack of dawn and gets home some nights just in time to say good night to Wyatt. I have to say I am quite proud at how early he has been getting up. Collin isn't an early riser, but he has been jumping right up with the 5:15 alarm!
He had his first test on Friday and scored 93%!! Way to do Collin!
Friday and Monday have really tested his physical shape! He is learning how to 'throw air.' (I am getting better at all the lingo too!) At the end of academy they have to pass a state test of being able to get their oxygen tank on and be all ready to go into a building in under a minute. I timed him while he practiced this weekend and he did it in 55 seconds! Monday he came home very tired and drenched with sweat! They spent all day doing search and rescue drills. In full bunker gear and on oxygen they were on the hands and knees with their face shields blacked out. So everything was by feel. He said it was exhausting, but fun. The good thing about days like that is there are no push-ups! Last week I think he said they did about 150 a day.
So after getting home between 7 and 9, he has his studying to do as well as keeping those boots shined! I have taken over packing his lunch and ironing for him. (Which a swore I would never do).
So to quote one of his buddies, Scott, "Collin hasn't dropped off the face of the earth." He just hasn't had the time or energy to drop many emails. but he keeps telling me he loves it and is excited for the next day!
