Time for a Haircut!

Wyatt's hair was looking pretty long, so we decided it was time to take him to a professional.
Luckily we have this cute little kids' salon here in Lacey that is perfect for squirmy little guys. Wyatt liked checking himself out in the mirror.
I was expecting a full screaming fit, but luckily he LOVED the plane he got to sit in and was SO good!
And luckily these stylists have lots of practice with squirmy little heads.
He was all smiles until she brought out the clippers. He didn't like those at all!
So brave! And so cute in his little fish cape!
We have tried all morning to get a good picture of the finished product, but he hasn't slowed down long enough for us to get a good one, but he sure looks handsome!

Oops-Two More Pics

Here's Wyatt and all his daycare friends celebrating his birthday!
Left to right is Donald, Tanner, Emma Lee, Wyatt, 'not sure', Kay-Kay, Brooklyn and Kira
Kay-Kay is Wyatt's best bud. He talks about her often and she never wants him to leave when I pick him up.
Wyatt and I made cookies yesterday for him to take. I was told they were a big hit!!

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Here's Mr. Wyatt two years ago today. Wow, was he beat up or what!?
The big 1 year old! Happy as can be. God, I love that smile!

And here we are today, looking like we are ready to start Kindergarten! I know all you mothers out there are with me when I say, 'Where does the time go?' How can this tall, happy, talkative toddler be that same 10 pound baby that just slept, ate and pooped, just two short years ago?

Wyatt got several Ecards today. So we sat down after his nap and viewed them all. He really enjoyed this. He kept saying 'gain, gain.'

Daddy had to study tonight, so Wyatt and I went to dinner with my friend, Janae. They tried to get him to wear the hat, but he wanted nothing to do with it. But I have to say, it was the most behaved he has been at a restaurant for a long time. So we pressed our luck and met Daddy and our new friends, Jeremy and Nicole for ice cream. Wyatt was more interested in flirting with the little girl at the next table and couldn't have cared less about the ice cream. That's ok, we just wanted an excuse for some Cold Stone!

What does Daddy do all day?

And why is he so tired when he gets home?? Here's a picture of Collin practicing his SCBA (don't ask me what that stands for, I usually call it his scuba mask!). This is what he has to get on in under a minute. He had a formal evaluation yesterday and got great marks. And some great praise from his instructors. If you want to see some more pictures of what he's been up to check out the academy's homepage. They just posted some pictures. Collin's helmet has the #18 on it and his name on the back. There's some good shots of him in the search and rescue scrapbook.

Wyatt's Party

We had such a great time celebrating Wyatt's birthday this weekend with our family and friends! Ok, I got my dig, dig and some balloons. I am ready to party!!
Cole has his party hat on and is ready to party!
Notice how big the hat is on Little Lauren and how it barely fits Mr. Wyatt's monster head! :)
Dig, dig, book, wow!!

This is about the best picture we got of Wyatt opening presents. He wasn't too into that this year.

His new fire truck sure was a hit with all the kiddos!!
This isn't a very good picture, but I love how it shows him just tearing the paper off.
Wyatt LOVES his new bike! Now we just need to find a helmet that fits so he can ride it outside. I bought him a toddler one, but it's too small!
Wyatt couldn't have cared less about his cupcake. He just wanted to get back to his new toys!
Oh ya, did I mention we got over an inch of snow this weekend. Crazy!
What a fun day!!! We are so lucky to have such great friends and a wonderful family to celebrate with!

Jealous??

Auntie Kimmer and Cole stayed with us this weekend. And I think Wyatt liked Cole better when he just laid there and did nothing. ;) Here he is requesting loves from Nana while she was playing cars with Cole.
And this happened several times throughout the weekend. I will just jump on whoever is playing with Cole. That will get their attention.
Because you know, Wyatt doesn't get much attention! :)
Cole loves his big cousin. He pretty much followed him everywhere. He just can't quite keep up yet. But we have a feeling he will be chasing him down pretty soon! This picture was taken as Wyatt was grabbing his new digger and taking off. He had to make sure Cole didn't get anywhere near it!
Cole and Wyatt playing Hide-n-Seek. Well kind of.
No we didn't get a dog, that's just Cole waiting for Wyatt to drop him some crumbs! :)

Many Faces of Mr. Wyatt

So we have had a blast playing with our new camera. We are still trying to figure out all the fancy features, but we have it hooked up with the computer finally so we can share some of the great shots we have been getting. These are just some of the silly shots of Wyatt over the passed two weeks. He never fails to crack us up!If I close my eyes, you can't see me!
Oh, I am so funny!
"The Flirt!"
Hummmm, what shall I do next?
Cheezzzzeeeee!
Mr. Handsome is already to go get his professional '2 years old' pictures. Just as soon as I can catch him to get his other shirt on!
Ya, those pictures didn't go too well. Tantrum time! He wouldn't sit still for anything. I guess that fits for the age!
This is one serious builder!
For you American Pie fans...
Collin calls this the Stiffler face.
Boo!
Where did Wyatt go? I think he actually believes we can't see him when he does this.
I love this shot! Collin took this while Wyatt was watching me mow the lawn.
Then he decided that Mommy was too far away and turned on the water works.

Too Cool!

Miss Addy stopped by the other day to wish Collin a happy birthday. She and Wyatt sure looked pretty cool in their glasses!

Birthday celebration-Finally

After a long and busy week, we finally got to celebrate Collin's birthday on over the weekend.Wyatt and Ry Ry had a blast playing!
Wyatt is ready to help Daddy open some presents!
After singing Happy Birthday, Wyatt requests 'more.'

Grandma and Grandpa with their boys! I was just so excited how Wyatt sat like such a good boy for these pictures!!
After his nap, Wyatt and Daddy enjoyed an afternoon walk in the sunshine!

Keepin Busy

Ok, so a post with no pictures, I know, pretty boring. But everyone is asking me how Collin is doing in academy, so I thought this was an easy way to touch base with everyone. And we haven't figured out how transfer pictures from our new camera yet, so it may be a few days before we can add pictures.
So anyways, Collin is doing awesome! He is so busy, it's insane. He leaves at the crack of dawn and gets home some nights just in time to say good night to Wyatt. I have to say I am quite proud at how early he has been getting up. Collin isn't an early riser, but he has been jumping right up with the 5:15 alarm!
He had his first test on Friday and scored 93%!! Way to do Collin!
Friday and Monday have really tested his physical shape! He is learning how to 'throw air.' (I am getting better at all the lingo too!) At the end of academy they have to pass a state test of being able to get their oxygen tank on and be all ready to go into a building in under a minute. I timed him while he practiced this weekend and he did it in 55 seconds! Monday he came home very tired and drenched with sweat! They spent all day doing search and rescue drills. In full bunker gear and on oxygen they were on the hands and knees with their face shields blacked out. So everything was by feel. He said it was exhausting, but fun. The good thing about days like that is there are no push-ups! Last week I think he said they did about 150 a day.
So after getting home between 7 and 9, he has his studying to do as well as keeping those boots shined! I have taken over packing his lunch and ironing for him. (Which a swore I would never do).
So to quote one of his buddies, Scott, "Collin hasn't dropped off the face of the earth." He just hasn't had the time or energy to drop many emails. but he keeps telling me he loves it and is excited for the next day!

New Toy!

Collin got a new toy this weekend! For his birthday (and our anniversary) his parents got us a new camera! No more waiting for the camera to get ready. We can take pictures as fast as we want! Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa!
Collin couldn't wait to unpack it and get clicking! We thought we took a lot of pictures before! It's going to take us a couple days to get it all figured it, but once we do, we will have some great pictures to post!!

Gotta love that face!

Look at this face! We had a very yummy dinner of Ravioli with some blueberries for dessert. Wyatt loves fruit so much that he often drinks the juice out of the bowl. That would be how he gets the juice ring on his forehead. The funniest part was when I took him into the bathroom to clean up, he cried when he saw himself in the mirror!
