One more Christmas!

To finish off our holiday celebrations we headed up to Nana and Papa's house for a couple nights.

Presents are open, now it's time for Daddies to get to work!

It was a very Merry Christmas!!

The boys (especially Wyatt) were very excited to see that Santa had come last night. Santa was very thoughtful this year and left the boys a nice note telling them that he saw Daddy at the fire station and knows how much he would want to see them open their presents. So he left them a new video to watch while they waiting for him to get home. They did really well while we ate and watched the video, but after that it was a tough 1/2 hour or so. I was just about the let them dig into their stockings when he pulled up.
Waiting oh so patiently!
HE'S HOME!
Thank you Daddy for hurrying home and for dropping everything so we could dig into some presents the minute you got home.

I just so happened to find the perfect shirt for Caden.
1. because the color matches his eyes perfectly, 2. it's Star Wars so Daddy loves it and 3. Yoda is on it saying, "judge me by my size do you?'
Walkie Talkies! So excited!
Wyatt has been talking for months about a digger with stabilizer legs...so glad Santa was listening!
Handy Manny Construction/demolition set from Momma and Daddy! Wyatt played with this ALL day long. We barely got him to stop long enough to eat.
Caden loves his tunnel

Santa Collin delivered a late present for the entire family! Rock Star for the Wii. Fun for the entire family!

Boys and their toys! :)

Christmas Eve!

We 'sorted' and snooped...
We decorated a giant gingerbread man...

Made these tasty treats for Santa and the guys at the station...

Had a great visit with Daddy and the guys at Station 24!
Put cookies out for Santa...
The boys are snug in their beds (well one is, Wyatt is in our bed. I had a great idea of snuggling in bed and watching a movie while he fell asleep. Well little did I know it would take him until 9:45 to crash!)
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Jingle Bells

He's at it again, but this time he has a helper

Caden was back in the presents this morning
And before long, Big Brother got into it. Except this one can read the tags and knows who the gifts are for.

Let's move all these over to this side so Santa has more room for all the stuff he's going to bring!
Or if we stack them, we can really save room
(yes, they did this all by themselves and I have video of all of it as well)
I know what is in most of the packages and know they won't break, but I sure hope the few I don't know aren't fragile!

Zoo lights

Bundled up and ready to make the long walk into the zoo...who knew a few thousand people would have the same plan as us that night.
Wyatt and his buddies Lauren and Ben. We also met Heaters there as well, but I forgot my camera in the car so this is as many shots as we got

The proper way to eat KIX

First, slobber up your banana, making sure you get it nice and slimy. Then dip it into your KIX.
And take a gigantic bite ( I mean huge! This kid eats a banana in about 5 bites)
Then crunch away!! YUM!
And yes...we got through this process every morning.

Busted!

Caden started off totally ignoring the tree and presents, but after two rounds of opening presents he has got it down and is ready for more. I caught him opening one of Brother's gifts today.
Later he got a hold of Papas

This evening he was carrying this one around saying 'O, O!'
I think he was attempting to say open (at least I hope he is actually attempting to talk!)
So if you get a gift that is half opened, you know who got a hold of it!

Murphy Celebration

Auntie M and Uncle Tom hosted our Murphy Christmas this year. After a yummy ham dinner we took a minute to toast G'ma and P'pas 45th wedding anniversary.
Then it was time for presents!
Wyatt was SO excited for new jammies!

Then it was time for some Christmas carols. Wyatt and Caden had waited all afternoon to play the piano and couldn't wait to accompany Auntie M.

Time for dessert! Caden was too funny. He never really opened him mouth. He just puckered his lips on it and then licked his lips.

My helper?

I was in our bedroom wrapping presents the other day and Wyatt was 'helping'
I think he offered to help just so he could play with the ribbon.

Lazy Day at Home

After 3 very busy days, and late nights, the boys and I had a lazy day at home yesterday.
Wyatt had a great idea of getting a 'HUGE' piece of paper out to decorate. Caden loves markers, now if we can just get him to only mark on the paper...
He ended up coloring on his legs more than anything else.
While I was getting stuff ready for bath and bedtime I walked in and found Wyatt 'getting brother EXTRA handsome!'
He kept putting water on the brush and 'combing out the sugar bugs'
Guess brushing your teeth isn't enough now!
