Big Boy Swimming Lessons

Wyatt started swimming lessons today. We weren't too sure how they would go. First time being in the pool without Mom or Dad and he had to wear his 'Ear Bandit' for the first time.
But I have to say, he did awesome. He was such a big boy. He let me put his ear plugs and band on with no problem and sat right down with all the other kiddos. He even says he is excited to go back tomorrow!
They have a 'dock' in the water that the kids stand on during the lesson. She told them they have to hang on to the bar at all times and Wyatt just held on and bounced practically the entire lesson.

Practicing his kicks

Not too sure about floating on this back. By the end of this he had quite a grip on her pony tail.

Just happened to catch this cute picture while we were watching.

1 giant post from a busy week!

Wyatt was up at Nana and Papa's last week. He had so much fun! He got to spend lots of time with Cousin Cole and even went to a Kangaroo farm! Then Caden and I went up for the weekend to join in on the fun. Kim and I took Wyatt and Caden to Hovander Park on Saturday.

This was at the Kangaroo farm. Seems like it was quite the place. They got to pet, feed and hold kangaroos.

According to Wyatt, this one was tired so they had to be quiet.

I guess the boys had a blast digging in the dirt! This is major for Mr. Wyatt who never liked to get dirty.

Is that really MY Wyatt covered in dirt!?

Trying to get a decent shot of all three boys...
not an easy task
Caden didn't like the grass at all. I guess that is a good way to get him to sit in one spot. He wanted to chase Wyatt and Cole so bad, but wouldn't touch the grass.

This is what happens when you aren't paying attention and walk in front of a moving swing. It only took 3 hits for him to realize he should just stay on the ground. Lucky for him he had just gotten off of his bike and still had his helmet on. I think that saved part of his head.

I was very proud that it didn't scar him from the swing at all!
This was less than 1/2 hour later.
Thanks for a fun week, Nana and Papa!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

The day started with yummy pancakes! Caden really enjoyed his first one ever. Imagine what he will think when he finds out they are supposed to be covered with syrup!
Then P'pa, Collin and Wyatt headed to the Tumwater Air Show.

Wyatt loved the helicopers!

Can you tell he has a death grip on Collin? I think getting him this far in the helicoper was a major accomplishment.

Then it was back home for some tackles!

Then after some yummy pizza it was time for some Cold Stone!
Hope you had a great day, Daddy!
We love you to the moon and back!

2010 Helmets vs. Shields

Saturday night was the 6th Annual Charity Basketball game in Lakewood. Although it was a great event and raised some money for well deserving charities you sure could feel saddness in the air for the 4 Fallen Officers and their families. Ronnie Owens was one of the officers that always played in this game, so prior to the game they retired his jersey. And the fire department's union presented a check to the Ronnie Owens's Make a Difference Fund. Not sure there was a dry eye in the house. Go Fire!
I love the story behind these shirts...
When Ronnie sister was going through his things after he was killed, she found an ordinary yellow notepad with his writing on it. All it said was "Make A Difference."
Words we could all live by I think.
Retiring Ronnie jersey

Wyatt thought he could see the game better using his binoculars

Then he decided to be the team photographer

Assistant Police Chief Zaro gets his head shaved in honor of Chief Farrar and raised a great amount of money for The American Cancer Society

Great game, and great evening that raised money for so many well deserving charities.

So protective!

Since Caden has been having some 'seperation anxiety' these last few nights, bedtime has been kind of crazy. While I was in 'helping him fall asleep' Wyatt decided he needed to 'protect baby brother until he went to sleep.' So this is where he set up camp. And anytime I was calming Caden down I would say 'it's ok, momma's here.' And I hear a whisper from the hall. "Wyatt is here too!" By the time Caden was finally out, so was Wyatt. I guess that answers any question on who is more stubborn! (Like there was ever any doubt) The best part was when I lifted Wyatt to get him into bed I was fully expecting him to want his story and to call Daddy. But all I got was, "Is brother asleep?" And once he knew that he was, he layed down and says, "Good night Momma, I love you"
I love this boy's heart!!!

Someone call the Fire Dept???

More fun outside

Discovering things...

Still loving his water table
