Watering

It started out so simple...Wyatt wanted to help me water the plants the other evening.
(Oh and notice the new 'Harry Hat' I took Wyatt shopping for a good hat that fit him right. Ended up getting him an adult small. I know, impressive for a 4 year old. When Wyatt saw this one he had to get it because it had Harry on the back and he is SO excited to have 'Harry Hat' just like Papa and Cole)
Amazing to me how something so simple can turn into the silliest of games.

Trying to get Daddy and Caden wet through the window.

Ended up getting himself pretty good a couple times.

Then he got just plain silly. :)

Caden found the entire thing quite interesting. Collin got some great pictures of those cheeks and lips! :)

Oh and the hair! :)

Busy Bakers

Wyatt helped me make some muffins this morning. He takes his job very seriously.
And Caden made some Elmo Soup.
Hundreds of dollars worth of toys in this house and he plays with a spoon and pot for the entire morning. Go figure.

Persistent

As you can see we have a new addition to our family room decor. Wyatt was very persistent (stubborn, determined, relentless whatever you want to call it) with our TV, DVDs and Wii. So we blocked it off. Since then he has discovered he can still reach the buttons and speakers if he squeezes himself back there. We have tried strategically placing Elmo so he can't get back there. Well no such luck. But today he actually tried to get himself out of the tight little corner once he got in there. Wasn't quite as graceful that time. Um, excuse me mom, why are you just standing there taking a picture?
A little help please?

Longbeach

We had a great trip to Longbeach with our friends the Heaters last week. Great cottage house with a deck and yard, walking distance to the beach, too much great food and great friends! Our attempt to coral Caden
Wyatt loved Henry's stomp rockets!

Oh to have a huge yard to fly helicopers and airplanes! Heaven!

Wyatt and Henry chasing the waves
Wyatt loving the beach...

Caden...not so much!

We did get smiles when we let him play with some sand toys

Henry digging to China and Wyatt digging a road

it was a quiet ride home!

hmmmm...

Not sure what his thinking is here, but lately when I go check on Wyatt during the night, this is what I find. Blanket, Mr. Lamb and Tiger all stuffed in is shirt. He would sleep like this all night if I let him, but then we have a big ole sweaty mess. So I usually end up digging them out and saving them from suffocation.

Happy Birthday Cole!

These two had so much fun in the bounce house Auntie Kimmer rented for Cole's b-day party. They went none stop all day.
I think by the end of the afternoon, Wyatt managed to get almost all adults in too at one point.

Caden found the present opening, quite entertaining.

And Wyatt was more than happy to help Cole break in his new toys.
Happy 3rd Birthday Cole!
Love you to pieces!

Trains

Sometimes it's so peaceful and quiet when they are playing! Then about 4 minutes later Wyatt will be asking me 'why did we have to have a baby?' and 'are we really keeping Caden forever?' His two favorite questions lately.

We have beans!

And should have some tomatoes soon! Our little veggie garden has really taken off. I have already started planning next years gardens. Yes, there will be several!

This was Wyatt when he tried the beans. Fresh ones
just don't have the same texture as canned ones.

Dino Camp

This is Wyatt ready for his last day of Dinosaur camp. He had so much fun and couldn't wait to get there each morning.

Bub's house

Wyatt has really been having fun in his cardboard house. So far it's been a library, garage, house, and currently a train station. Couldn't help but get a couple cute pics of one of his favorite vistors.

Tuesday in the Park

We are meeting Crawfords at the park on Tuesday again this summer. After the first few weeks I was kind of disappointed at the acts this year compared to last year. But it was much better tonight. Enjoying is picnic dinner while watching the juddling act.
Wyatt and his buddy Sam

I have to say, Caden was a lot easy to take last year as a newborn, than this year as a-almost-walking-1-year-old-that doens't like to sit still. Wyatt was a big help entertaining him.

He did have fun playing cars (one of his favorite things to do)
Luckily for me, he hates the grass so he did stay on the blanket. :)
This is him reaching for his car, staying as far away from the grass as possible.

Flat tires

I guess Caden's cart had some flat tires the other day, so Wyatt was very helpful in fixing them for us.
He worked very hard on getting them jacked up just right

He even put blocks up so it would roll away.
Thank goodness Wyatt was around to fix his cart!

Hopscotch

While we were doing our garage sale this weekend, Wyatt asked me to play hopscotch with him. I was busy, so I gave him his chalk and told him to get started drawing it. I was shocked when I went out to the sidewalk and saw 10 boxes with the numbers 1-10 in them. Had to get a picture!
Then he had me draw a bigger one.
Not sure where he learned to hopscotch, but he loves it.

Fun in the Sun

Thank you summer for finally showing up! But goodness when you make an enterance, you don't fool around! The last few days have been pushing mid 90's so we have been playing outside in the mornings and enjoying our a/c in the afternoons! I have been cleaning out the garage getting ready for a garage sale and found this great cardboard house that Wyatt got for x-mas. Amazing what you find when you get organized! Wyatt had a blast painting it.
I had painted a smiley face on it so Wyatt did the same thing, but then 'he put sunscrean on the boy' so it's basically a blue blob now.
Where did Daddy go?

Which way's the pool?

Oh the days when water fresh from the hose doesn't even slow you down!

loving his new pool
And who knew a $5 ring would provide hours of entertainment!?

Snack time
