Happy Halloween!

Here's Wyatt on our way to trick-or-treating.
After a quick stop at Nana Billie and Papa Howard's it was off to Auntie Lin's and Uncle Steves for a yummy spaghetti dinner!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

We went to Port Orchard this last weekend to help Cousin Ryan celebrate his 12th birthday. Wyatt was a very good boy and was very excited to have some cake and ice cream!

Welcome Fall!

Wyatt and Daddy went out for a fall walk the other day.Wyatt decided he was over his fear of leaves and has become quite attached to this special one. He won't touch any others, just this one, but that's progress. The other day he cried whenever I tried to hand him one.
Can I bring it in the house, please? We made a compromise and it sits with our pumpkins on the front entryway and Wyatt picks it up whenever he goes out. It even took a trip to the mall with us today.

"Rubber Duckie You're the One...

...you make bath time lots of fun!" Wyatt loves running his duck along the bathtub and then crashing it into the water.

You look marvelous Mommy!

One of Wyatt's new things is to play with my hair. He got a hold of my clip the other day and was trying to put it back in my hair.

Mr. Dare-Devil himself

Wyatt is getting more daring each day. We are just waiting for the day when we turn around and he is standing on his trike.

18 Months Old!

Wyatt turned 18 months old on Monday! Where does the time go? I feel like if we blink he will be in school and then graduating. We have come to realize over the last few months that some kids are natural climbers (like Wyatt's friend Lauren!) and some are not. Wyatt has never really been a climber... Until now. His favorite things now are to climb on to the couch, or try to climb into his high chair. But Wyatt has a few more pounds than the average toddler to haul up. So it has been slow going for him. But I have to say I am kind of glad! By the looks in this pictures you would think we never feed the kid.
Here he is with Daddy on our walk in their Nikes and Central Sweatshirts! They are really two peas in a pod!
He never fails to entertain us. He has determined that after dinner is the 'Wyatt Hour.' This is when he get just plain crazy and we just get to sit back and watch him bounce off the walls all the while entertaining us with his jibber-jabber. As you can see here, he has become quite the ham.

I love Junk Mail

Of all the junk mail piled on the table Wyatt chose the Victoria Secret catalog to look through. (Daddy is so proud)

I can't believe I am posting this, but it was pretty funny watching him flip through all that pages.

Pumpkin Patch

There was a break in the rain Saturday so we headed out to a local pumpkin patch.
Wyatt and Daddy go hunting for the perfect pumpkin

Is this one big enough?

Wyatt was less than thrilled about getting this picture taken.

You should see the other guy!

Wyatt got in his first fight at daycare on Friday... Just kidding, it was actually our friends hardwood floor that met Wyatt's lips. Boy the mouth sure bleeds a lot for such tiny cuts! So much for the white shirt I was wearing at the time! This is a horrible picture of Wyatt, but it showed his nice fat lips pretty well. Between his fat lips and his chipped tooth, Wyatt is looking pretty tough these days. I guess it's just a matter of time before we have our first trip to the ER.

Mr. Independence

Wyatt is getting really good at using a spoon to feed himself. And sometimes he even gets quite a bit to eat.

Other times he decides it's just easier (and more fun) to use his hand.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquaruim

After weeks of scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling...
We finally made it to the zoo this last Sunday. It was a great morning. A little chilly until the fog burned off, but we had a blast (as you can tell by the amount of pictures we had to post!). All bundled up and ready to go!
Where did the polar bears go?

Wyatt's favorite part was the aquaruim. He loved walking around and looking at the 'shesh' Wyatt's word for fish.
Forget the backpack, I'm gonna explore this place on my own

More shesh!

Here's Wyatt trying to grab a shark. Fearless, I tell ya!

He really wasn't too impressed with the elephants, but then again this was the only view we could get of them, so who could blame him.

Nice camera angle Daddy!

Trying to feed the goats through the glass.

What a great day!

Roarrrrr!

We decided to try on Wyatt's halloween costume this weekend. I was quite excited that he liked it and let us take lots of pictures. He just played around the house like any cute little lion would.
The tail-wagging was too cute!

Wyatt and Cole were both great sports this weekend with all the picture taking. I think Wyatt was having a little more fun that Mr. Cole was. Hamming it up for the camera takes practice I guess. I am sure that is one of the many tricks Wyatt will teach him.

Go Huskies!

Gramma and the boys got all dressed and ready to cheer on the Huskies Saturday night. This was early in the evening, but you can tell by the look on Wyatt's face it was going to be a long night!
Come on guys, where's the defense?

Fun with Cousin Cole

Cousin Cole, Auntie Kimmer and Grandma came down for a visit last weekend. It sure was fun having a baby around and really made us realize how big and grown up Wyatt is getting. It looks like Cole is going to love books just as much as Wyatt. Wyatt had fun sharing his favorite book with him.
But he really loved giving him kisses!

Wyatt flashed back to his infant days and had a blast playing with Cole's mat.

It had only been 2 weeks since we had seen Cole, but he has changed so much. He was full of smiles and even giggled a couple times for Auntie Jo!

Wyatt's favorite thing was to lay down next to Cole whenever he was on the floor. It great to see how much he loves him already!

Elmo Tent

Mom bought Wyatt this Elmo tent a few weeks ago. Ya Mom, meant to thank you for the lovely family room decor... It took him a little while, but this week Wyatt has been spending lots of time in his tent. He loves going in and out of it and shouting at Elmo on the side. And it seems that in the last couple days it has become his personal Honey Bucket. He goes in there to do his business and then comes out happy as a clam!

Dadddy Time

Wyatt and Daddy enjoy a quiet morning
Then Silly Boy comes out. Wyatt's new favorite thing is to jump on us and bounce up and down

And then we fall over!
I love the action shots!

First trip to the dentist

Wyatt had his first trip to the dentist today. Wyatt was so excited to talk to Gram on the phone yesterday he grabbed the phone out of my hand and bumped his mouth. He hit it just right so it chipped the corner off of his front tooth. So we went and visited Dr. Janssen today. Wyatt sure is a tough guy. The only thing that seemed to bother his tooth was cold drinks. So all they did was a special little fluoride treatment that takes the sensitivity away. As you can see here it hasn't slowed down his eating any. And if you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see the missing corner of his front tooth.

Measuring up to Daddy

While we were in Castle Rock Wyatt got his first notch on the doorway. Grandpa Dan measured both Daddy and Auntie Meredith in the same doorway while they grew up. Now whenever one of his grandsons visit they get a mark on the same doorway. You can tell Wyatt wasn't too thrilled with the process, but we got it!
You can see Wyatt's line on the right. It is just a little bit below where Daddy's line was in February of 1978, when he was about 22 months old. It will be interesting to see when Wyatt passes him up!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We stopped in Castle Rock this weekend to help Grandma celebrate her birthday. Here's Wyatt helping her open her present. Anything to get his hands on some tissue paper!
He even helped Grandpa decorate the birthday cake.
