4 Generations

While everyone was together for Grandpa John's 80th birthday we decided it was time for a family photo.
Here's Grandpa John with is 4 daughters (in black), 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons!
Then we had to have some fun with the boys! Here's Wyatt (3), Carter (4), Cole (2), and Caden (3 months).

Mr. Independent

Wyatt must have been really hungry when he got up this morning. Usually he just watches cartoons while I feed Caden, but today he wanted to eat right away. So to pass the time I told him he could get it started. He did this all by himself. Got his stool from the bathroom to help him reach the cereal, got a bowl and poured his cereal (None on the floor!) then got his spoon and the milk from the fridge. He was about the pour the milk when I had to step in. I didn't feel like cleaning up a half gallon of milk at 7am. He was pretty darn proud of himself!

So close!!

When we had Caden at the doctor last time she was quick to tell me that he probably wouldn't be rolling over any time soon and that with his size, it will take him quite a bit longer than other babies. Well, I think he is about to beat the odds. The last few days he has been SO close. He gets his entire body twisted. He just can't quite get thos monster thighs over. He is also really ready for some food besides my milk. This was him the entire time Wyatt and Collin were eating lunch.
So close buddy, you can do it!

Maybe if I grab this and pull myself over

This is as far as he got today and was happy as can be laying on his side.
I think he got tired and was resting. It's a lot of work to roll 18 pounds of baby!

'Arts and craffs'

Wyatt gets so excited if I mention doing arts and crafts. So today, while I was scrapbooking with Eileen, I entertained Wyatt with some afts and crafts. Too bad when he paints it last for about 2 minutes. Oh well, the boys did nap for over two hours together today so I was happy!
Caden had a blast being in the center off all the action

Getting Buff

Wyatt loves to play with the pots and pans and he loves to play with cardboard tubes. Add them together and what do you get? Weight set!!
The sound effects while he was 'working out' were the best! It was really heavy according to Wyatt.

The official picture

We got Wyatt's picture taken next to his preschool sign to make it official! This morning he got up and kept telling me how excited he was to go to school today. When I broke the news that we had to wait 3 more days before he goes back he was quite disappointed.

D-O-N-E!

After several days of pressure washing and then 3 days of staining, the fence is finally done!
And it looks great!
This would be when Collin noticed me taking pictures of him. :)

Too big?

Wyatt loves to hold Caden is always asking (really, telling) me to put him in his lap.
As I was snapping this pictures this week, I realized Caden is getting too big for Wyatt's little lap.

Look who can pedal!

Wyatt has had his bike for over a year and finally is tall enough to pedal it. He has gotten quite good and even rode his bike to the park the other day.

Return of 'The Circle of Vomit'

So, whenever we would put Wyatt in his 'play circle' we were pretty much guaranteed that he fill the tray with spit up. That lead to the 'circle of vomit' nickname. Well we just got it out for Caden and sure enough, he has already helped it live up to its name. :) About 2 minutes after putting him in it, big ole spit up! But that's nothing new with him. But he did seem to like it.
And Big Brother loved showing him all the cool things it can do.

After I snapped a few pictures of Caden, I found Wyatt doing the same. Guess he knows how things work in this house.

"This Old Man"

Last night coming home from Home Depot, Wyatt was in a singing mood and announced to us he was going to sing "This Old Man"
Collin and I were cracking up as he belted out what he thought was the perfect song. (Haven't we all sung along to the radio at one time and realized we were singing the wrong words?) :)
This old man, he played 2, he kept it on my shoe
With a nick, paddy wack
Diga, Diga Bone
This old man came rolding home
And after being stuck on number 6 for about 5 verses he finally moved on to finish the song.

Go Dawgs!

Caden and Wyatt both loved watching the football game with me on Saturday (In between naps)
I am shocked to say that Wyatt actually has no Husky attire that currently fits him. Nana and Papa must be slacking! :) So jammies and fireboots were his game time attire.
I loved listening to Wyatt's play-by-play.
Oh Momma they are fast! Oh no, they fell down! Oh they are wrestling! Wow, Momma, they are doing lots of races! Yeah, Purple won!

Bath time times Two

Since Caden pretty much outgrew his infant bath tub, I started bathing him with Wyatt. Although it was much easier on my back to have in at the kitchen sink, it is super nice to have both boys in the bath at the same time. And they both LOVE IT! Wyatt is a huge help.

Big Boys in a Little Chair

A friend of mine let me borrow her Bumbo Chair for Caden (thanks Janae!). When I mentioned to Collin that I was getting it, he asked if Caden would fit in it. I laughed and said of course! He's chunky, but he's still a baby. WELL... he barely fits and getting him out is a little tricky. But he seems to like it.
How funny is it that Wyatt fits in it better than Caden! :)

The Fair

We met the Heaters at the fair this week, for the second year in a row, and we were very glad that Collin got to join us this year. And although he will never admit it, I know he is glad he broke his streak and can now say he has Done the Puyallup.

Caden had a blast at his first fair! He especially liked the naked time he got after spitting up half his dinner.

Thanks for a fun time Henry. Can't wait for next year!

Hike 4 Hope

Collin and two other fire fighters (Jeremy Link and Bryan Copeland) just completed a 24 hour hike. Many people have asked me... Why would they do that? Well it was for a great cause. They were raising money for a fellow fire fighter who's 3 year old son has just started his battle against a rare form of Leukemia. They hiked 38 miles with an estimated 11,000 elevation gain. But more importantly, they raised over $4,000 for the Vukich family. Well done guys!

Double checking the maps!
What a view!

First day of Preschool!

Here's Wyatt all ready for his first day of preschool!
So excited!!!
And so handsome!

Making his name tag with his teacher, Mrs. Pharris
First stop every morning-hand washing station. Gotta love that!

I think Wyatt was a little overwhelmed with all the things to do. His first stop was the 'kitchen.'

We left for a while and they were doing circle time when we came back. Wyatt was looking very serious. Later we found out he had just got done shedding a few tears.

Here he is closing his eyes to 'imagine.'

While getting in the car we asked him why he had gotten sad at preschool and this was the response. I think he was just a bit overwhelmed with everything. After a little meltdown he was fine.

And he LOVES his new preschool bag they gave him. He insists that it is a backpack
