FIRE!

Got this text message from Collin last night
'Wow! big ripping fire today. I'm sooooo tired, but boy howdy that was fun!'
Well, this is what he was talking about!
Getting the hose hooked up to the hydrant
And YEP, that's him up there!
Getting at it from the sky!

This is the biggest fire Collin has fought.  And I have decided that I am glad I don't hear about it until after and am definitely glad I don't see these pictures until he is at home with me.
Oh and need to mention that Collin did the Ski to Sea race last weekend.  So two days prior to climbing that ladder he ran 8 miles down hill.  Needless to say his legs are killing him today.

Funny Conversation of the year!

On the way to school this morning...

Wyatt: Mom! We can't stay at Nana and Papa's for 3 nights. We can only stay for 2 because I have to get back for school (gotta love his dedication to school!!!)

Me: There is no school on Monday because of Memorial Day, so we can stay for 3 nights

Wyatt: What's Memorial Day?

Me:  Well, a long time ago, before either of us were born, soldiers had to fight for us to have the rights we have today.  Some of them died fighting for us to be able to choose things like what school we go to and where we live. So we celebrate Monday to remember them and kind of say Thank You.

Wyatt: Oh, did the dinosaurs help or get in the way?

Me:  cracking up the rest of the way to school!

Lacey Fun Fair

I know we don't live in Lacey anymore, but who can pass up a fun, free event! :)
The boys spotted this helicopter as we were parking.  It HAD to be our first stop!

Some arts and crafts

And ended with a train ride.  The boys had a blast!!!

Sunny Days!

What a guy!  Caden loves to help Brother cool off on these hot days :)
 Oh the joys of boys!
You have to go potty and are soaking wet covered in grass and sand...great, go pee in the corner so you don't get my clean house dirty.
Saying they think this is cool is a major understatement.

Moms' Day

'Hey boys, go lay in the grass with Mom for a Mothers' Day picture...
Yep, that's my life with boys!
We spent the afternoon downtown and checking out the Wooden Boat show.
Wyatt had to climb the tower.
Second try for a Moms' Day pic went much better!
It was pretty hot out and Wyatt got tuckered out...
Nothing a little ice cream couldn't fix!
YUM!

Cousins!

Last time Cole stayed the night we thought he would just sleep on the single air mattress next to Wyatt's bed. Well they both ended up in Cole's sleeping bag, but that got a little crowded, so Wyatt ended up on the floor.  So silly when there's a empty double bed in the room, but oh well.  So this time we gave them the queen mattress and Wyatt still ended up on the floor!

 Racing down the hill
 Ring-around-the-rosey
 And they all fall down!
Cheese!

Major progress

Wyatt got a big boy bike for his birthday.  So we decided before he attempts hand breaks and no training wheels we better deal with one thing at a time. After two days of practicing, he is doing pretty good.  Collin has taught him to get his foot down if he thinks he is going to tip, and to head toward the grass if he is falling.  He is really trying hard to get it down.  This is huge for him.
We got this balance bike for Caden's 2nd birthday and he has wanted nothing to do with it.  But seeing brother trying to balance on his bike must have inspired him because he loves riding it all of a sudden! Thank goodness!!!

Hopefully there will be video soon of them both coasting along on two wheels! :)
Wyatt used some of his birthday money to get a new basketball and sign up for a summer team. He is beyond excited.  Collin has been working with him on dribbling and passing.  I love having the big circle at the end of our street to play in.  Especially when Collin and Wyatt passing the ball around turns into 4 neighborhood kiddos playing ball.

Finally!

Auntie Kimmer got this really cool ball for Wyatt for Christmas.  Well, he has patiently been waiting to use it.  Yes, we were waiting for nice weather, but more importantly he was waiting for me to finish blowing the darn thing up.  Yep, did the entire thing by hand using Collin's basketball pump.  When I got 2/3 of the way done I realized I should have taken it to Grandpa's and used his air compressor, but I was almost done at that point. So several painful days of seeing it halfway done, he finally got to use it! And the boys love it!

Serious conversation

Wish I knew what these two were planning...
But I do have to say, we sure have gotten our moneys worth from these $2 costumes. :)

Video Overload

These are a few of my favorite videos from the last couple weeks.
Optimus Prime and Bumblebee show off their softer side and sing some songs.
And Caden showing of his 'reading' skills to Daddy and Mia.
