Blueberries!

Ready to pick some berries!
Since we got over an inch of rain in 30 minutes yesterday we were prepared for the blueberry fields to be a bit soggy...

Came home with 9 pounds of berries!!!
Yum!

Weapon Training

The boys have really been into playing 'Ninja Turtles.'  Ever since we got back from Legoland were they had Ninja training that seems to be all they talk about. Collin got a tip from a guy at work and after a quick trip to 'The Man Store' for some foam, PVC pipe and duct tape we had ourselves a weapon workshop.
Complete set: Swords, Staff and nunchck
And I am happy to report the only injury so far is Caden hitting himself in the head while using the nunchucks. :)

I always feel so safe around here! Love my little guards.

Wyatt takes his job very seriously!

Rock Concert!

Amazed

They poured the foundation for the house across the street and the boys were so amazed at the 'mighty machines.'  They even sat there and had lunch so they wouldn't miss anything.
And the best news is, after this house it done it that's it for our end of the street so we are hoping the Honey Bucket will be out of here!

That tongue!

Caden's tongue is always going!  This was him coloring at the restaurant the other day.  Today he was 'reading' a book in the car and it was going like crazy again.

Oregon Coast!

The Murphy Clan spent our annual beach trip at Lincoln City this year.  Weather could have been a  bit warmer, but the boys had a blast playing in the sand, flying kites, and running up and down the 4 stories of the house!
 Caden enjoyed the view!
The boys loved exploring the rocks when the tide was out.  We got to see lots of sea creatures!

Leg 2

Leg 2 of our Oregon trip was a 'quick' one.  Headed to The Dalles on Saturday for Collin's Cousin David's wedding.  Beautiful wedding and no pics of the bride and groom...sorry.  But I did get one of these 3 handsome cousins looking so nice.

Enjoying the outside setting in between rain showers.  And yes, one of the little ones was right during the wedding which made it very cute when the bride got the giggles. What else ya gonna do right?

The boys really hate wearing collared shirts but once I told them there was cake they were dressed and ready to go!
This was the closest I could get to get one of the boys to dance with me.
Kind of hard to go from an enormous 4 story beach house to a one room hotel, but we made the best of it.  And after two rounds of Benedryl we were all able to get some sleep when Caden's coughing stopped at 2am.
Then we met the aunts and every at a cute restaurant for breakfast. And after a rough night I was kind of dreading entertaining the boys in a restaurant, but they did amazing!

On the drive home we timed our stops so we could show the boys Multnomah Falls.
They LOVED it!  I think they would have watched it all afternoon if we let them.  When we told them about the trails to the top and that a few years ago we hiked up there they wanted to so bad. So we promised them one day when we weren't wearing flip flops and had a long drive home we would.  I know they will love it.

Sports Week

Last week boys had swimming lessons in the morning and Caden had Mini Sports Camp in the afternoon.  Wyatt wasn't really into going to camp since his was all day and he would miss swimming, so he and Daddy did their own sports camp! Day 1 they went to the driving range and day 2 they went climbing. I was really surprised how much Wyatt liked this and how high he went. He informed me that next time they are going to rent a harness so he can go on the big walls like Daddy did!  Then they went back to the driving range another day.  I think he loved having Daddy all to himself!

Wyatt had to take some pics of daddy too!
Recess Monkey was playing the concert at the park this week so we decided to go. I think the boys were a bit tired from all their activities this week they wouldn't go dance with all the other kiddos.
Pretty much hung on Mom the whole concert, but since they seem to be growing up before my eyes, I will take it!
It's pretty hard to get decent pictures at swimming lessons, but I got some good videos I will try to post later.  Caden had his friend Kenzie in his class! I work with her dad and we have MTS playdates during the summer.  These two were next to each other for the entire class and neither realized they had just had a playdate a couple weeks before.
And we were wondering if Wyatt was still going to be in the Penguin class when Caden moved up to it. But this year both boys have really gotten comfortable in the water.  During the last two sessions Wyatt passed all the 'tests' and graduated to Otters! He was so proud!

Summer fun

The boys have been playing so well together all summer.  We keep waiting for them to get sick of each other. But instead we just realized we are going to have a sad, lonely little Caden when Momma and Wyatt head back to school.

I think this one is getting framed for my desk at work!
These next few  pretty much sum up Mr. Caden!

Over and over again!  All afternoon!
Time to warm up in the sun. That water is straight out of the hose! burrrrr
