Success!

The turkey was juicy, the potatoes weren't lumpy, the roles weren't burnt and everything was done cooking at about the same time! What more could you ask for on my first solo Thanksgiving dinner.
The most handsome turkey carver around...
A family to enjoy the tasty meal...
and two grandparents, a cousin, an aunt and an uncle to entertain Wyatt while I cooked!
He had a blast!

Best we could get

We finally got to see Cousin Carter this weekend (it had been a while)
Well trying to get a picture of a 3 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old is pretty much impossible.

70 pounds of knucklehead!!

Let's keep hugging and being cute. I want to see how long Daddy can hold us like this! :)

Nana and Papa Time

Wyatt got lots of time with Nana and Papa this weekend.Papa taught the boys how to splash in a puddle.
Oh boy did they have fun!
One would splash and the other would just squeal with delight!
It's kind of funny, how when we would come in with wet pants like this we got scolded, but when it's a grandson, it's funny!
Cole was a little more into trying to eat the crayons, but hey, haven't we all chomped on a Crayola at one time or another? I know Wyatt found the orange ones tasty!
Hope you had a great birthday, Nana!!!
We love you!

New Best Friend

Wyatt's new best friend is Elmo. He goes everywhere and Wyatt shares everything with Elmo. The other day it was fish. Today... applesauce. Yep, messy! So today Elmo also got a 'bath.'

'Get Hansome'

Since we have family pictures this weekend, we decided we better get Mister's shaggy hair cut. We talked about it for two days. Told him how handsome he was going to be and even told a little fib that Cousin Cole will get his hair cut too. And as a last resort, we bribed him with candy.Well NONE of it mattered. He started crying even before we tried to get him in the seat. So Daddy got to hold (or should I say restrain him). He calmed down some after the she put the clippers away, but still refused to sit by himself.
Small sacrifices to make for such a handsome boy!

'Fun Day With Hunry'

Wyatt and I went to spend the day with Henry and his parents today. Wyatt was having so much fun he wouldn't even take time out to eat! :) As soon as we got in the car he says, "Momma, fun day with Hunry!!!" Then he fell asleep with a cracker hanging out of his mouth.Wyatt had a blast with Henry's trains. I was beginning to wonder if he would actually play with Henry at all.
But after a few minutes these two were up to no good! :)

We even had a small concert. You have to check out Heater's blog for a great video of this.

And we had a little dance party as well.
And no play date would be complete without that moment of complete silence coming for the playroom. So we went to check it out and found both boys hiding under the bed. A short while later we found the door shut with both boys jumping on the bed. No pictures of that since we were too busy scolding the boys and keeping them from cracking their heads open.

Daddy Time!

So for 11 weeks part of Wyatt's bedtime routine was to call Daddy and leave him a 'good-night message.' But now Daddy gets to do bedtime! The other night I kept hearing giggles coming from Wyatt's room and this is what I found. I am not sure who was enjoying it more.

He's Back!!

After 10 weeks of evening classes and LOTS of studying Collin finished his EMT class last week!! He finished with an amazing 92.5% and will receive his state documents any day now.Not only do we feel very safe with an EMT around, :)
we are enjoying much more time with Daddy! Collin also had some days off this week, so he was able to catch up on some sleep and enjoyed some lazy mornings with Wyatt...
And I enjoyed a lazy evening tonight, while Collin cooked dinner (and did the dishes)! :)
This is the second night in a row that we actually had dinner as a family and we still have two more evenings before he goes back to work! What a treat!

"Fun Day!"

So I was trying something new with this post and getting frustrated, so even though it looks bad, I give up, here goes!

Cole and Auntie Kimmer came down for a visit this last weekend. Wyatt had so much fun, he hasn't stopped talking about it and saying what a 'fun day' he had.

No wonder Wyatt loves Cole so much. He gave him all of his Oreo cookies!

Cole Loved trying on Wyatt's hats. He thought he was pretty darn funny. :)

Who knew a couple packages of toilet paper could be so fun?
Oh yes, the ole tupperware cupboard!

Wyatt had a blast showing off for Cousin Cole at the park

Cole preferred the swing.
These were our best attempt of getting a decent picture of the two of them.

Ok, Cole, lets head home and see what we can get into there!

Mail Call

Wyatt hit the jackpot with the mail this week. First he got the Target Toy ad. He loved looking at all the toys and kept saying 'wow!'
Hmmmm, should I ask Santa for both the Mega train set and the remote control car?
Then he got his first issue of National Geographic For Kids. P'pa and G'ma ordered this for him. He loved looking that animals and there just happened to be a page where they were supposed to match up the vehicles. He got this down pretty quickly since there were firetrucks and bulldozers involved. Thanks P'pa and G'ma!

Relaxing weekend

It was so nice to not have a lot of plans this weekend. Collin was working Saturday so Wyatt and I had a fun day of hanging out in our pjs...Listening to some music...
Building towers...
And knocking them down. This is the first time Wyatt has built his tower all by himself. He actually looked at the numbers on the boxes and put them up in order. As opposed to his usual screaming fit when they didn't stack the way he wanted to.
He gave Elmo a couple 'airpane righs' in the wagon. He even did the motor noises just like Daddy!
Wyatt has been working on dressing and undressing himself lately. Well he insisted on putting his pants on himself and as you can see, didn't get it exactly right.
AND we found a great new game with the laundry hamper!
Timber!!
That's fun!
He could have did this all day! Well, until he fell off of the hamper and hit his head.
On Sunday Collin and I had the wonderful idea of going for a walk. WELL... about 1/2 way through it, we got caught in a rain storm. By the time we got home it was pouring! Luckily we carry some towels in the stroller to wipe the slide off at the park if we need to. Well we were able to drape them over Wyatt to keep him some-what dry. Collin and I on the other hand, were dripping wet.
And Baby Jax came over for a visit. As you can see, Wyatt was very interested in him.
