P3 Halloween Run
Pints Pavement Pounders is name of the Thursday night running club I joined. Yes! I joined a running club. I am as shocked as you are. But when the motto is "Get fit, be social and pound a pint or two" who wouldn't join! I have four runs down and one more and I earn a very cool, very green P3 shirt. This week it was our Halloween run. About 90 runners, running down Capitol BLVD in costumes was quite a site to see. And since I didn't want to be running in costume by myself I had to really push hard to keep up with Lisa and Millie. My legs are feeling it today.
After I got ready to go Wyatt wanted some help with his homework. A super hero's job is never done I guess :)

Time to pound a few after our run to celebrate Millie's birthday.
And yes, she ran the entire 3.3 miles with the balloon. ;)

He's Jumping!
The other day while I was upstairs I heard both boys yelling
'Mom, he's jumping, he's doing it! Come quick!'
Collin had found the live feed of the big sky dive from space. All three were glued to the computer screen for about an hour.

Oh Caden...
You do beat to your own drum!
You watch TV like I have never seen anyone do.

But at least safety is your top priority!

Day in the life of a potato!
When I went to pick up Caden from preschool today they were out in the garden collecting potatoes. They each got to bring one home and SO excited to do so.
Caden and I had some errands to run and the potato was a very important part of those errands. As I was getting my flu shot he explained to the nurse that this was his potato and he was going to wash it and eat it. It was a warm afternoon, but Caden would NOT take off his hooded sweatshirt no matter how hot he got. Goodness, if he did, he wouldn't have a pocket to put the potato in. The best part was when I stopped by my classroom to chat with my teaching partner. As we were leaving the kids were all reading quietly and Caden turns to them and holds up his potato and announces
"This is my tato and I got it from preschool and we will wash it and then I am going to gobble it up!'
Hope, not shy this one!
After taking it to JoAnns, Bed Bath and Beyond, Toys R Us and picking up Wyatt from school it was time to take the potato home to grill it up.

Little EVOO, salt and pepper and it was gone!
Play Ball!
We sure are enjoying these warm fall evenings!
Caden NEVER fails to crack us up!
Last night during our intense baseball game he gave Brother a target.
Brother, hit it through the hoop!
High fives!
And how cute is Mr. Caden in Brother's old Murphy sweatshirt! Wyatt wore it for over 2 years and now Caden is in love with it. Nice purchase Auntie Kimmer, you definitely have gotten your money's worth!
Painting
I found these little strips of paint containers and have to say, I think they were invented by a mom!
Caden has really been into painting, but I hate the set up AND the clean up. But these little guys make it so easy. He loves using ALL the colors and they are the perfect size for the little brushes.
I taught Caden how to rinse his brush out between colors and he takes that part very seriously.
