First Hair Cut!!

Wyatt's hair was looking a bit 'mulletish' so over the past few days I gave Wyatt his first hair cut. Since he was really into his new bath toys I thought I would try to do it while he was bathing. I got it about halfway done.
The scrapbooker in me is very upset that I didn't do a 'before' picture, but here is the after picture.

I did a really nice job around the ear on this side...

Wyatt was done sitting still by the time I got to this side. Good thing hair grows fast!

Then Daddy gave him a nice comb-over. What a handsome little man.

Crazy boy

I put Wyatt shoes on our shoe mat the other day and I guess he didn't want them to be lonely. He hung out with them for about 20 minutes.
Wyatt's top hat is now his new toy to stand in and on. Where does he come up with these stuff?

Wyatt is really into sitting on any and everything. His big Tonka trucks make great resting stools.

What a helper!

Here Mommy, let me help you get the lights off the tree. Oh, and I will get the spots you miss with your vacume.

New hangout

Wyatt has decided that his new hangout is under the dining room table. When it's time to eat this is the way he gets to his booster seat. It was great times chasing him out!!

Tuckered Out!

It's hard work being spoiled so much over the last week.Wyatt has been so busy and played with his new toys so much, that he is finally sleeping through the night again. It must be his new sock monkey that makes that perfect pillow.
While being sick, Wyatt got really used to sleeping with Mommy, so the last few weeks we have had to undo that habit, but last night he made it and even slept in until 7:30! Let's hope that is the new pattern!!

One more Christmas!!!

We had all the Murphys at our house for dinner tonight to finish off our Christmas Festivities. Come on Daddy hurry, I can't wait to see what it is! Oh it's a rug with roads on it! I love it!

Wow, this is a big one, I may need your help Mommy.

My very own table!! I love it!!! I can't wait for my friends to come over so I have someone to sit in the other chair!!

Here's the group! Not a bad picture for a self-timer one!!

Wyatt got to try out all of his new bath toys tonight. He loved them. So much in fact he refused to get out.

Christmas in Ferndale

We had a great Christmas dinner at Nana and Papas! Wyatt has really been into (literally!) bags and boxes lately.
Mr. Independent can't just sit still for a picture! He likes to "ding, ding" people's ears now. (Like the bell on the bus!)
Another family photo op.

The Giggle & Go Construction Hauler from Auntie Kimmer, Uncle Nate and Cole completes the set for Wyatt. We now have Giggle & Go stuff everywhere!

As you can see Mr. Wyatt made quite a haul. And this isn't even half of it. Now we get to spend some painful hours getting all of these things out of the packaging!

Wyatt and Papa Howard have a heart-to-heart before dinner.

Nana and Papa wanted a Christmas photo with their boys. As you can see Wyatt would be the one not sitting still.
We really wanted a picture of the boys in their Christmas PJ's, but it was past both of their bedtimes so we had to improvise and just hold them. But who doesn't love to snuggle with little ones in their fuzzy PJ's!?

Christmas Morning

Wyatt gave us a little present on Christmas morning. He slept until 6:30! That is much improvement over the last two weeks. Wyatt ran out into the living room and was so excited to see...
the tripod. He ran right past the tree and his presents to it.
Finally he noticed that Santa had been there. His very own 'Wyatt sized' vacume!

Wyatt didn't want to open any other presents, but we finally hid the vacume and got him to open some others. The Giggle & Go Garage was a big hit!

He really started to get the hang of this present thing.

But loved the stockings the best!

He found some new cars in his stocking, and they went straight to the window sill.

One of my favorite pictures of Wyatt and I is last year at Christmas. We tried to get another one this year, but Mr. Independent had other plans.

After playing (and cleaning our carpets!) for a while, it was time to pack up and head up to Nana and Papa's!

Christmas Eve

We had nice and relaxing Christmas Eve at our house today. Wyatt helped rearrange the ornaments on the tree.

Then after helping me fold the laundry (well really just taking the clothes from the basket and throwing them on the floor) he decided to take a nap in the clothes basket.

Just kidding!

Then Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit.

And read lots of stories. Which made Wyatt's day!!

Wyatt even got a guitar lesson from the Master!

And just because Mommy and Daddy couldn't wait, we opened stockings tonight.

Then it was time to wind down and watch some Elmo before bedtime.

But before bed we had to leave Santa some cookies and milk, and carrots for the reindeer. Wyatt looked quite puzzled at this. Some day he will understand.

Then off to bed so Santa can come!
Sweet dreams and Merry Christmas Everyone!

Let the Festivities Begin!

We had our first Christmas gathering this weekend. We had the entire Hoksbergen gang together (all 24 of us!) for the first time in many years. Not the best picture of everyone, but we are all there!
The Murphys
Wyatt was ready to eat! Cole on the other hand found a large family gathering quite exhausting.

Wyatt loved Papa Howard's John Deer ornaments.

Here's 3 of the 4 "Dales"
Wyatt Dale with Papa Dale and Great Papa Howard Dale.
And Cousin Kevin Dale reads him story.
