Wyatt was in heaven today when he got to play outside all afternoon AND eat dinner out there!
Wyatt got this Wiggles read along CD from Nana Billie and Papa Howard for his birthday and he loves it. I guess it's time I get some more read along stories!
But don't think we are all serious business!
He LOVES his new sandbox. He really wanted to use Collin's thatching rake last weekend, so when he found the rake in the toys that Auntie M got him, he was very excited!
It only took about an hour for him to sit down in the sand. This kid sure doesn't like getting dirty. 
When I told him we could put his easel together after dinner, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Lucky for me, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And Wyatt was very happy to help!
And it was all worth it. He had a blast going from painting to writing on the chalk board and back to painting. We may have some master-pieces coming soon!
And what's better than fresh birthday cupcakes!? Left-overs!!! :)
We ended the evening with Cole and Wyatt trying out the new sand box. They said they wanted to sleep in it. Doesn't look too comfy to me!
For some reason he felt he needed the headphones on to type. When one of my students asked him what this said he told her, "I love you Auntie Kimmer."

This is my favorite picture! This is a young boy who is new to my class and is really struggling. He refuses to do any work and shuts down on a daily basis and is becoming quite the behavior issue. He was a different kid with Wyatt. So caring and gentle with him. He read to him, helped him draw a picture. It was so great to see that we are now trying to see if he can help out in our preschool room as a tool to bring him around. I love the little break-throughs!!
Wyatt's favorite part (as all kids) was recess. 
He was quite the popular thing on the playground that day!
The day started out pretty low key...
Then after a nap he got to open a couple presents from Momma and Daddy. Books and a huge floor puzzle! Poor kid, had to open them and then sit them aside so we could get to our picture appointment on time. He did so good for his professional pictures. They are so stinking cute and I can't wait to share them with you when I get them.
Then it was off to meet some friends at Chuck E. Cheese for some games and pizza. This was Wyatt's first time there so he was a big overwhelmed at first and just kind of ran around touching everything. But once he got the 'token' thing down he loved driving all the different vehicles!
He LOVED the roll-a-coaster ride.
Daddy taught him how to shoot some hoops.

I was shocked that he liked this ride, but he went on it several times. As he pedaled (or Collin pedaled for him) the higher he went. He kept telling Collin to do it higher.
And no surprise we loved driving scoop!
This is our friend Sam, who is quite the dancer! The boys had a blast dancing and seeing themselves on TV.

When we got home we had just enough time to open all the cards we got in the mail and read his e-cards. Then it was off to bed. What a day! He was so tuckered out that during bath he actually asked to get out and go to bed. That's a first!
Wyatt started out being a great helper planting some flowers...
But he quickly realized he may get his hands dirty, so that changed things. :)
Collin was a champ on Saturday! And he had a great helper!
Then today while I got started on the back yard Wyatt got to play with his outside toys, which he missed dearly over the winter! After spending pretty much two entire days outside, Wyatt still threw quite the fit when it was time to come in. Gosh, he never gets tired of being out there!
It started as a pillow gate
But then quickly turned into a fort. Not bad for his first solo act.
Ok, I may be bias, but I was thinking Wyatt was pretty darn smart the other day. He got this 24 piece puzzle from the Easter Bunny and on his second time playing with it he was able to put the entire thing together, all by himself!
Almost there!
Yeah! I did it! OK, so maybe no big deal, but I was proud.
While waiting for the GO, Addy and Wyatt found something quite entertaining and funny.
Can't you just hear the giggles!?
Just a few other people showed up! I was surprised how many were there with the wet weather.
Wyatt did very well. Didn't get trampled and even managed to get a few eggs.
He even was friendly to the Easter Bunny. He gave him a high five....
AND a hug! Big improvement over last year, when he wouldn't even go close.
Easter morning we were all a little tired after a night of battling an ear ache, but we powered through and followed the eggs to were the Easter Bunny hid the basket.
Wyatt was quite excited about all the money for his piggy bank!
As well as new books and puzzles!
Then after a yummy lunch at Aunt Linda's and a long nap, we finally found time to color eggs.
